ACT! Link for QuickBooks® Alert
We are notifying you of an issue
that relates to a .NET 2.0 security update Microsoft released a few days
ago which affects ACT! Link for Use with QuickBooks customers
integrating with ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006, and ACT! 2007.
After installing the Microsoft® .NET
2.0 security update, all existing contact links will appear to have been
lost. The links are NOT lost but they can no longer be used correctly by
the integration features because of the changes the .NET 2.0 security
update made to Windows®.
Uninstalling the .NET 2.0 update
will resolve this issue. Please read the
knowledgebase article for instructions on how to uninstall this
update.
ACT development is working on
providing affected customers with an ACT! Link for use with QuickBooks
update that will support the Microsoft .NET 2.0 security update. Delivery of this update
is anticipated on August 6, 2007.
Here’s how
customers are affected and the available options:

ACT! 2007 + QB Link 3.x:
Customers are affected and will need to either install the free
update to QB Link or opt not to install the Microsoft .NET 2.0
security update.

ACT! 2006 + QB Link 3.x:
Customers are affected and will need to either upgrade to ACT! 2007
+ install the free update to QB Link or opt not to install the
Microsoft .NET 2.0 security update.

ACT! 2005 + QB Link 3.x:
Customers are affected and will need to either upgrade to ACT! 2007
+ install the free update to QB Link or opt not to install the
Microsoft .NET 2.0 security update.

ACT! 6.x + QB Link 2.x:
Customers are not affected.
